blat

SetupDownloaderConsole uses blat to send notifications via email.

It reads its settings from the blat.ini in the ini-subfolder:

[SERVER]
server=smtp.server.tld
user=luser
pass=secretpass12345

[MAIL]
from=SetupDownloaderConsole <name@server.tld>
to=myaddress@domain.tld
subject=%number% new program(s)!

You usually need to specify a smtp-server and corresponding username and passwort to enable email notification. They go into the SERVER-section

You also may want to use this ability only in your intranet which should also be possible, just experiment with hhe options.

In the MAIL-section you have to specify who sends the mail (a valid address between the < > brackets for the user/password combination is mandatory!), to whom the mail is to be sent, and the subject of the mail. %number% will be replaced by the number of new versions found/downloaded. The body of the mail will be the content of the whatsnew.ini in the ini-subdirectory.
